Blogger Networking it Out
Our über-happy hour at Mercado Santa Monica
What do you get when you combine one fabulous restaurant, a handful of your favorite bloggers, and some deee-licious margaritas? A truly FabFitFun party, that’s what!
We gathered some of the fashion, fitness, and beauty bloggers from our new Ambassador Network to meet for drinks and appetizers at the uh-mazing, brand-new Mercado restaurant in Santa Monica. And let’s just say there were tweets, statuses, hashtags, and Instagrammed photos of guacamole involved.
We noshed on Mercado’s incredible tamales and Tacos de Jicama con Camarón (super tasty shrimp tacos), and sipped on some seriously delish Orangino Twists (recipe coming next Thirsty Thursday). The high energy but still laid back hotspot is definitely a must-try when you’re on the Westside! Oh and make sure to try Chef Jose Acevedo’s signature carnitas, created from a recipe handed down through generations. Yum (and yes, we’re prob in need of hitting the gym today but it was so worth it)!
Our Editor-in-Chief Katie Kitchens and the fab LA editorial team (Franke, Vanessa, Tasha, Jill, Erin, Caitie, Aly and Deven) could not have been more excited to sit down with our new bloggers – iPhones of course in hand. Yep, a blogger party is one of the only times that it’s socially acceptable to have your phone out at the table, and we welcomed the exchange of Twitter handles, business cards, and tips and tricks from the blogger biz!
We dished on webby wisdom with all of our new lovely ladies: Fash Boulevard, QuickieChick, LuxLyfe, The Fetch Betch, Twirly Skirts, Beauty Frosting, Erin Darling, and JoAnn Persephone and chatted about the creation of their beautiful blog babies. Love.
It was great food, great conversation and an entirely great night. We can’t wait to do it again! And of course, now we are even more excited to share their blogger posts with you.
Be sure to keep up with our growing FFF family and come back for your daily fix of FabFitFun!
xx, The FabFitFun Team
