Hey ladies, we know that there are about a billion different kinds of diapers out there…swimmies, huggable, washable, glow-in-the-dark (really?!), and it’s confusing to find the type that fits your baby and works for you (and your budget!). Here are our top picks and tips for all around awesome-ness!
Cloth is in! Not only is it easier on your wallet and the environment, it’s also the newest posh thing to do — celebrities like Dave Matthews, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Michelle Williams have been spotted sporting their babies in fabric goodness. Brands like Swaddlebees, Blueberry, and Pink Daisy are common celeb favorites!
Buy in bulk (just not newborn size): The newborn size is silly — it barely fits a 5-pound baby! And besides, in the first few weeks, your baby will grow too fast to use up the (usually) 160-diaper pack. Instead, start off with a smaller 40 pack, and don’t buy anything in bulk until at least 6 months.
Buy for a sensitive tush: Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive is our top notch pick for preventing diaper rash and burn: smooth to baby’s skin, affordable, and available everywhere…it’s great!
Best for “on the go” babes: We love Pampers Baby Dry for older babies. Their material is super smooth and flexible for crawling critters, tumblers, and walkers. Stays super snug, and better yet, leak free!
For the “green” tot: We love the Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Disposables: 100% organic materials, and completely natural. Made from organic wood pulp and non-toxic absorbent gel, these are great for the environmentally minded folk.
For the penny pincher: Luvs Premium Stretch. These come in at around 20 cents each — the most affordable diaper we could find! And they’re totally awesome.
