According to Huffington Post, portion sizes in the U.S. are still increasing. We’re a society that demands “more for our money,” but in this case, more does not always equal “better.” Top fast-food chains offer ever-growing portion sizes with a sky-high calorie count to boot. Take the Burger King Triple Whopper, for example, which weighs in at a whopping (pun intended) 1,020 calories. Yikes! When you’re dining out, sometimes it’s hard to manage your portion control when there is a big ‘ol plate of food right in front of you. Next time you’re thinking about “super sizing” it, remember these simple guidelines for what an ideal serving size should look like:
